China’s agchem production dropped 3% in June 2014
According to National Bureau of Statistics
of China (NBS), China’s agrochemical production dropped 3.0% year-on-year to
318 thousand tons in June 2014, From January to June, pesticide production
increased slightly by 0.72% to 1892.4 thousand tons compared to the same period
of last year.
In June, fungicide production recorded
32.9% decrease to 22.4 thousand tons, making up 7% of the total production.
Production of insecticide and herbicide declined 19.7% and 1.2% to 48.4
thousand tones and 150.6 thousand tons respectively. Herbicides production
accounts for 47.4% of the total agchem production volume.
Shangdong was the largest herbicide
production province with an output of 71.4 thousand tons, followed by Jiangsu
and Sichuan, with 30.6 thousand tones and 12.7 thousand tons respectively
